In Mexico, the viability of Liga MX Femenil is largely conditioned by the coverage and visibility given to it by the media. The journalistic coverage is analyzed, taken from three mexican newspapers: ―Reforma, La Jornada and Gaceta UNAM― during six short tournaments (2017-2022), including the two professional teams of the first division (los pumas and ‘las pumas’): men and women’s Mexican soccer teams of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
